Press.bio ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Press.bio mobile application and website (press.bio). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our services.
When you create an account, we collect your email address and, if you use social sign-in (Google or Apple), your name and profile picture as provided by those services.
We store the content you add to your Press.bio profile: your display name, bio, profile photo, banner image, links, social media handles, and appearance preferences (themes, colors, fonts).
We collect anonymized tap and visit data when someone views your public profile. This includes the source of the visit (NFC tap, QR code scan, direct link, or share), timestamp, and a hashed identifier to prevent duplicate counting. We do not collect visitor IP addresses or personally identifiable information from profile viewers.
The Press.bio app can read and write NFC chips. NFC operations are performed locally on your device. We do not collect data from NFC chips other than to program or read the URL stored on them.
We do not sell your personal information. Your public profile content (display name, bio, links, photos) is publicly accessible at your press.bio URL. We share data with the following service providers solely to operate our service:
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from the app settings, which permanently removes your profile, links, and associated data. Analytics data is retained in aggregated form.
Press.bio does not display third-party advertisements and does not use advertising identifiers (such as Google Advertising ID) for advertising purposes.
Press.bio is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and row-level security on our database. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below or use the account deletion feature in the app.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated date.
